On Feb. 12, the Kansas Supreme Court declined to reopen the 2006 school finance lawsuit that forced the Kansas Legislature to increase the amount of funding it provides schools. School districts tried to reopen to old lawsuit because they said school funding had declined substantially from what the court had ordered.
