Snow piling up in Tahoe

Snow piling up in Tahoe

Lingering snow showers for Sunday morning with a final coating up to 3 inches on the mountains. Clearing through the afternoon with highs in the 30s. Mountaintop wind gusts of 40+ mph this morning dropping through the day.

Monday through Thursday we are expecting partly sunny to sunny skies and lighter winds, with highs in the 40s at lake level and 30s above 8,000 ft. A weak system moves through Tuesday night and could bring a dusting up to an inch of snow to the Tahoe Basin.

Friday into Saturday the next storm could bring more rain and snow. We could see mainly rain on Friday with snow levels above 8,000 ft. and then more rain and snow is possible into Saturday with snow levels falling through the day. We will look at more details as we get closer.

Going into the 3rd week of December, we could transition into a colder pattern with the storm door remaining cracked open.
