Tony, 10, jumps into the arms of his mother, Jayde Overcash, 31, at a pulmonologist appointment at the children’s hospital in Knoxville, Tenn., on July 29, 2024. Tony and Overcash traveled roughly two hours from their home for the appointment after a suspicious mass was found in his lung at a freestanding emergency department in his hometown. .
